We've seen an increasing trend in 2020 - Accountants being collaborative in their approach to providing the best possible solutions for their clients.
Collaborative not by working with other Accountants, but in fact, partnering with Financial Advisors.
It's not about abiding by the broken 20th-century referral model of an Accountant referring to an Advisor and vise versa. It's about forming a "solid" relationship as a team, building on each other's strengths, and different character traits.
For instance, the Accountant typically brings trust with the client while the Advisor can drive and influence. Not to sell, but rather to help the client do something they want to do.
If each of those parties holds each other accountable, working together, there is great potential for effective collaboration, especially when bringing in additional experts and professionals.
